You have to eat more than two meals a day! Aren’t you hungry? LOL! The more you break up your food into frequent meals, the more your metabolism will increase and burn up those meals. So, give it a try. They don’t have to be huge meals. I would recommend about 350 cals 5x per day with about 40g protein each meal to help you put on more mass. That’s a rough estimate because all bodies are different. But give it a try and increase your weight training frequency and intensity : ) Best of luck!
@MadeFitTV Use real whipping cream though. If your on low carbs it will burn fat. But if your off season you may be eating more carbs.
I have to be honest, I did not know about the heavy cream until this year! I always used almonds, almond butter or natural peanut butter for a fat boost. So, I will do that following March 27 as I continue to prep for another show!! Thanks! : )
Your very welcome! Do you compete in bodybuilding or figure?
@MadeFitTV your welcome love
I compete in Figure. My next show is March 27 in Detroit and it’s a national qualifier. I hope to do well and take it to the next level! I’m so anxious, LOL!
@BridesMadeFit Hey, that’s great! And that’s soon! I really like figure! I hope you do well! It is very competitive. A friend of mine, and some other pro’s I know competed today in the IFBB Australian Grand Prix , but he didn’t place in the top. I don’t have to compete until July. I almost did a show Mar. 27, too The Western USA. I got 2nd last year. Waiting until July though.
2nd is great!! All the best to you : )
And to you too! Keep us posted on your competition.
id fuck her hard no joke !!

Protein shakes are to supplement protein into your diet. Shakes are convenient, cheap (in terms of $/gram), and is extremely lean (as in little fat/serving). If you calculate the protein from the shake into your diet, you shouldn’t have a problem w. excess calories.
Weight gainer supplements are the ones that are high in calories, but those are something entirely different.
I have protein supplements and im 5’11 150lbs (i measured 14% body fat in winter 2009). I exercise everyday (although not the same intensity every day)
can i get your opinon on these products
Ribose, Creatine and vitamin b12
pleae man!
@SickSideSmile You can check out Episode 90 for the creatine info, B12 and Ribose are great for energy. Just use your best judgment when taking supplements that do not have conclusive evidence proving their claims : )
Great video. Helped me a lot.
I do have one query though. I just started weight training, so how long should i wait before i should start taking protein supplements ??
wat about tribulus? wat r the benefits n side effects? n glutamine?
@xlik19 I talk about glutamine in episode 90. As for tribulus, I don’t know too much about it only that it can be used to boost testosterone. Supplements are hit or miss based on the individual. I pretty much say that in Ep 90. But if you feel it helps you and you are aware of any potential side effects and are responsible with it, go for it : )
@vikyd If you are eating enough protein from meats and natural sources, you don’t need to take supplements because you should be getting enough already. But you can start any time for a quick meal replacement, but don’t replace more than two meals a day with a shake because you want to be eating as naturally as possible : )
@MadeFitTV Lol shouln’t Protein be a muscle recoverer instaid of a food replacement?
when you workout your muscles are gonna need more protein so thats when the shakes come in handy, it helps your muscles to recover quicker from weight sessions etc, but NEVER take protein shakes as a meal replacement, it’s not good…
@Robinpeys I would say you are right and I am right. It all depends on the individual. It is not “bad” to replace a meal/snack with a protein shake because we should be eating 6 small meals (relatively) per day. If a protein supplement happens to be one of them, that is fine – it all depends on WHAT else you are eating through your day and HOW, so that is why I never pigeon-hole one way of eating for everyone because everyone requires different things. Thanks for the post!
@MadeFitTV true if you put it like that,
most people who eat 6 meals a day are working out and really into sports
other just eat regular 3 meals a day, so if they’re gonna think that they can simply replace one of those meals with a protein shake. that would be bad, cause you need some fat and carbs,n vitamines etc…
still thanks for the answer
and sorry for my english, i’m Dutch
i dont get it i drink muscle milk n it say it has 20g of protein okay.
so do i hav to drink the whole bottle to get the 20g.
wat i usually do is only drink like maybe 5 drinks out of it bcuz it is nasty n i dont think i can finish the whole bottle
@Cal2Or9ies You don’t have to drink it all at once. Actually, sipping on it over a 30 minute period is good for absorption, so try that next time : )
Uh, you said one pound is equivalent to 2.2 kilograms?…think you might have it backwards.
@TheReptilianBrain Ah, yes, I did say it backward! An obvious slip up because I know that that is not true, lol! Luckily, I did break it down correctly in the rest of the podcast and in the text. Thanks for that catch!
