cont. when I practice singing, I work on soft to quiet dynamics (you’d be surprised how loud the human voice can get) also throw into vocal exercises some word articulation like radio announcer exercise-okay whats this have to do with this video–because singing stimulates the thyroid–it brings me feelings of peace and well being–I think it is a good strategy for anyone who needs outward self expression, especially for people who are shy, soft spoken, have a hard time speaking up–

  7. catgumart says:

finally–these vocal exercises are a good workout physically, they work, the cardiovascular system, lungs, diaphragmic & inter-costal muscles, vocal chords–I’m very egalitarian when it comes to art and music–I know there are the Mozarts and Bob Dylans etc…but I think ordinary people(whatever that is)should do music, art-if it helps them, if they love it–and it is a good workout! Hope these messages wern’t too far off-but it had to do with the thyroid–and so does singing
    Thanks

I think I may have a thyroid problem . I’m 262 pounds and am killing myself day in and day out to lose weight . I measure all my food and count calories and fat started with 1200 -1440 calories 8 – 15 grams fat . I’m now down to eating 300 – 500 calories a day and I still have not lost 1 lb. I’m also walking 1 hour every day . and today wen up to 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night . starting to get shaky and dizzy from lack of calories . still have lost zero pounds

  10. darren1124 says:

    @vampirehunter
You should loose 2-3 lbs max a week. Also your diet regime is too harsh take it slower! Loosing weight does and should take time. Ask any doctor, bodybuilder,or health nut for that matter. If i were you i would do like 1-1 1/2 hrs of cardio and drink lots and lots of water. Also try to avoid soda, and other high surger foods. And carbs at night. Also 4-6 meals a day but make sure theyre small. ******* Check out scooby1961 *******

I love how you break it down. You look really healthy too. :D

  12. wackpdot1 says:

@vampirehunter33 thats impossible you didn’t lose any weight. So you must not
know how many calories are coming in.

  13. vampirehunter33 says:

@wackpdot1 I count every calorie I eat . and measure food with measuring cups. Yes every single calorie I eat is counted. You obviously know nothing about the thyroid. if the thyroid is messed up you can starve yourself to death and not lose 1 llb. I went up to walking 4 miles a day eating 800 calories and lost 0 lbs. the thyroid is what allows a person to lose weight . it controls metabolism , fat loss and he burning of calories if it is messed up then you can not lose weight

  14. vampirehunter33 says:

@darren1124 I don’t drink soda and I don’t eat sugary foods . I also drink at least a gallon of water a day and I have been doing 2 hours of cardio a day . I walk 4 miles plus walk up to the track and back total is 2 hours and 10 minutes cardio a day . I also tried the 5 – 7 meals they did not work . for a normal person your advice would work and they would lose weight. my body is screwed up though I can not lose weight

  15. markuscc says:

I am almost positive I have an iodine deficiency problem. I haven’t used iodized salt in 2 years, do not drink cows milk and rarely eat any meat. I just started eating kelp and will see how that helps.

  16. wackpdot1 says:

@vampirehunter33 Puzzled how with a thyroid problem you would be able to walk 4 miles a day regardless, a slow metabolism just means you need less calories or maybe your eating too much processed food, MSG causes obesity. All im saying is that if I lock you in a room so you dont eat you will lose weight.

  17. Pelonetillo says:

sounds harsh, man. stop exercising, stop restricting calories, just eat nothing but meat and veggies for a month. if you see no drop in weight, then see a doctor about diagnosis.

  26. Jaymee Marty says:

I typically think of doctors as a source of data and work to convince them to give me the tests. I then try to make sense of the data on my own or by enlisting the brains of those that I trust.

As for Mark's comment about me figuring out how to lose the fat last summer, the plan I devised in the link he provided did not get me where I wanted to be. It did get me close enough to accomplish my goal, though.

I guess what continues to stun me about my own weight as a runner is how few calories my body needs to maintain my weight. Based on calculations and about 2 years of data collection, I need 1900-2000 calories to maintain my weight. That's including an average exercise burn rate of 600 calories a day (since I'm cross training only now) and a moderately active lifestyle. Without the exercise, that would only be something like 1400-1500 calories! That's hardly any food at all! I really want to be able to eat more than that and still achieve low body fat, but I'm not built like that either.

  27. Six Pack Abs says:

Lots of helpful stuff on this site. Right now I'm focused on achieving shredded six pack abs. It's my personal mission these days. I'm wondering if anyone has any special diet recommendations to help me get six pack abs faster I've been told that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all important to incorporate into my diet. Are there any other foods I should consider working into my diet?

HAHAHA “hence the name” you're a retard. Hydro and Hybrid have nothing to do with one another. hence the different spelling
