I’m pretty leery of taking advice on weight loss from somebody who’s likely never been overweight. I dropped 70 pounds based on a lot of research I did, and yes some of it came from this guy, but I can call anybody a “guru” unless they’ve been where I’ve been and back.

Oh, is Vagina a “drug” because I swear I go through withdrawal?? lol

  5. sigrino says:

I just ate 2 buckets of Hagen DAZ ICE CREAM Ohhh YEAAHH!!!! DEAL WITH IT!!!

  6. sigrino says:

@PERUANO31 Yes but you have to limit sweet fuits!!! For example 1 apple, or just 1.5 bannana! If you cant do it, and when eat 1 you start to binge and end up eating a bunch, that means you are addicted. SO STOP THAT SHIT!!!

Beries are nice, thay have lots of nutrients, but still you have to limit yourself a handful would be a portion.

    Beter eat vegatables.

  7. Jesusismyonlylove77 says:

@PERUANO31 yes, but it depends on your metabolic type too.

  8. mensacyclist says:

    @aleterra

Same here. Sugar is a drug. If I take in none I lose the craving for it quickly. If let any sneak back into my diet then I crave it like a junkie craves heroine. Sugar is pure friggin’ evil. Food processors know that it is addictive which is why they put it (or HFCS) in practically everything.

I’ve been off sugar and have been on a low carb diet for 3 months now- and I eat a lot of raw veggies- but I’m such an addict for sugar that I still crave the stuff like crazy- it’s like being an alcoholic- and it’s hard to steer clear of it, too, since it’s crammed down our throats through the media like no other! but at least my blood pressure has dropped and is starting to normalize…..

  12. VideoScenario says:

Does el glutamine have “gluten” in it? Thanks.

  13. LoowheezeBreeze says:

I just snorted my 4th line of sugar for the day…

    Am I an addict?

  14. jonw82 says:

I’ve had sugar hangovers before. I’ve been on and off these healthy diets for the last 2 years. It’s a night and day difference in terms of how you feel. It just takes alot of discipline due to the stupid world we live in. Marketing, advertersting, popular products etc. Avoiding this stuff long term is tough if those around you think you are wierd for avoiding the crap. One other thing I noticed is that normal “bland” food tastes sooo much better without a high sugar diet.

Sort of. You can burn more calories every day by getting more protein in your diet because protein requires more energy to digest, but there are a lot of other variables involved (how much you eat per day, how much exercise you get, how often you eat, the size of your meals, etc.). Also, better off getting your nutrients from "real" food as opposed to meal supplements whenever possible.

Here are some fat-burning basics: (1) Eat small meals or snacks in the range of 250-450 calories every 3 to 3 1/2 hours, (2) Aim for an even three-way split between calories from protein, calories from fat, and calories from carbs, (3) Drink more water to help your system handle the increase in protein intake, (4) Avoid the bad-for-you stuff like trans fat, saturated fat, high-fructose corn syrup, processed flour, and processed sugar as much as possible, and (5) Get some exercise every day, even if just a brisk walk here and there.
