should I use a weight that I’m barely able to do 10 reps w/?

  2. soulreaper1308 says:

when he brings them down he straightens his arms, I can’t do that, it really hurts because obviously my bicep has just been contracted, so straightening my arm is stretching the muscles. But i dont feel like im doing it right. Wht should i do? force myself to straighten my arm and hope I get used to it? or just do it the way I do it anyway?

  5. SuwaPk1 says:

@carlnavarro Aim for your last 2 reps to be super hard, you should just barely be able to do them. you should probably try a lower weight.

  6. mikyonmars says:

i feel it in my forearms and triceps and shit but not my biceps wtf am i doing rong

  7. Telecaster132 says:

aahh the bicep curl…the most over used, least effective exercise for building mass, GO SQUAT YOU PUSSY.

  8. DUSTY1373 says:

    how many sets?

  9. Damnationization says:

@Telecaster132 You are an idiot. Least effective for buildibg mass. Yes its not an overall mass builder but the LEAST effective. I could name a dozen less effective exercises. Also why the hell are you talking about squating on a dumbell curl video?

  10. Fyanzx96 says:

Do you think 5.0KG dumbbell is good for ages like 13-14?

  11. willieofroanoke says:

@Fyanzx96 in general yes. However there’s no magic scale that says you should be able to do X at age Y. Teens, especially younger ones are all over the map regarding their physical development and relative strength. The general rule is use a weight you can handle, but still mantain proper form with the last reps in the 3rd set being pretty hard to do otherwise you won’t benefit as much. Follow progressive weight resistance training.

  12. willieofroanoke says:

Progressive weight resistance in this context means you would do several sets of any particular exercise for several weeks with the same number of reps and weight, UNTIL it became too easy, then add a bit more weight, go another several weeks until that becomes too easy, add more weight and so on. If the goal is bigger arms, most overlooked fact that it is tricpes that accounts for 70% of arm mass, not biceps. So do lots of different tricep exercises and you’ll get bigger arms faster.

hi im 13 and have a flabby stomach and man boobs what type of exercises should i do to reduce these. I run 3 days a week 4km alrdy

    Thanks
    ****

  17. willieofroanoke says:

@pianoplayindrummer33 rest assured many teens have “man boobs”. The medical term is called gynecomastia. It happens in about 40% of boys as they enter puberty due to hormore inbalances. Good news is for most it goes away over time.Running should help with the flabby stomach. While you can do various ab exercies to tighten things up, the may issue is losing some body fat, so you’re on the right track doing cardio. Lay off junk food and anything high in carbs.

  18. willieofroanoke says:

    Cont 1

As far as specific exercies, two should help. Incline bench press which hits the upper chest and dumbbell pullovers on a flat or delince bench in additional to working your triceps should firm up your pecs.

  20. flem202 says:

@willieofroanoke yea thats so true about triceps cause im sick of seeing people with huge biceps and hardly any tricep development, its a little awkward looking. and its surprising how massive overall ur arms look when ur triceps are well developed.

  21. chauhongteo says:

It’ s good for me. thanks very much

  22. NeVarajMe says:

This guy has massive shoulders : )

  23. willieofroanoke says:

Also, for most guys, triceps respond quickly to exercise and since their mass is more than twice that of typical bicep, results really show. One muscle that is often overlooked that when developed really helps seperation between biceps and triceps is the Brachialis which lies under and between. You can see it in following animation starting at about 40 second mark.

    watch?v=vub3q-TACtg&feature=related

When developed it pushes both bicep and tricep out laterally. Result, arms look bigger.
