This absolutely works!!! I tried this 7 days ago, and i tried on a pair of my skinnies for the first time in months ans guess what!! they aren’t skinny down the bottom anymore!!
I now see what you mean by the ‘burn’, i kept doing each set until it got to the point where my heels wouldn’t even budge off the floor anymore and that’s the secret, work em’ till they can’t take anymore, and during the last few days i increased the resistance even more… you can do this by wearing a backpack…
…filling it with rocks and use those as weights, then if you’ve got another, put another on the front and fill that too, and to keep the ball of your foot outwards and the heel inwards i just used a belt to tie around my ankles to keep them in line so they wont slip. Thank’s Bob!

cant you work them all 3 angles in one day? or you need to do calves that often?

you do need time for rest, and you should hit every angle of the calve when you work it out…it needs less rest compaired to a larger muscle because they carry the weight of your body everyday, they need to be truly beaten up to break the thresh hold from everyday use…you should stick to a higher rep range 15-25 and focus on form and time under tention…3 exercises, 4 sets each, and maybe a couple drop sets at the end..NO more than 3 times a week and you’ll have huge calves
this is not true. it is totally wrong what this man says. muscles need 2 days to recover.

To get better calves, try doing one leg calf raises while holding a free weight (kettlebell?). Stand on a slightly raised platform. Calf raise right leg, hold weight with right hand. Repeat for left side.
