    @dewy200884 Ive developed this since in the last month, I think it started off with me clenching my teeth but now the problem is the irritating pain and tension on my jaw all the time. The excersises Ive looked up help but only for a few seconds, then I feel the tension building up even though Im trying to keep my jaw relaxed. Does this happen to you? I think my TMJ is from school stress and recent cold irish weather :( (I clench my jaw when im cold)

    @londoniran you are right, im quite a unfront guy, i never had this problem, until i went through a deep depression. so i believe they are connected some how. funny huh, one would think this would only be caused by an injury to the jaw. nope all physcological.

  6. rubent100 says:

    @Firesign4 wrong, i never had a joint disorder, read my previous post. all caused by a deep depression.

  7. rubent100 says:

    @powrsleuth lol 3 days, try 10 years.

  8. londoniran says:

    @rubent100 yes depression is the cause. If anyone disputes this then they can ask University College Hospital in London about it. In concern with what appears on the net- its just a sales propaganda.

  9. londoniran says:

    sale talk thats all.

    I experience TMJ from chronic teeth grinding in my sleep and during the day when under intense stress between work and my personal life. It’s nice to have this information available to assist. I do experience those tempural headaches that she’s talking about. I’ll have to try this one out soon.

    I take 800 mg of ibuprofin 3x a day. This helps with the pain & stiffness of my tmj. I have TMJ for many years & this is the only thing that really works for me. I also took celebrex in the past, that also worked really well.

    @bellacnella18 i have something better for you: I have really really bad facial pain from a dislocating jaw……ive had this for 16 years, so trust me on this….while opening your mouth in a relaxed state of mind stretch your masseter muscles down toward the back corner of your jaw even using your forearms to extend the roll…..this will work better thanmost conventional exercises….atleast for me it did….exercises like the ones shown here are just going to aggrivate the condition.

    Ive been up for hours unable to sleep and this helped enough to get the pain lessened so I can rest. Thank you…
