      hi there!

i am a victim of a yoyo weight gain-weight loss. i used to do 10 rounds jogging in an olympic sized oval before… indeed, i lost some considerable weight…about I also ended up getting sick for a week. after that, I just gained all the weight back. it was so tiring and disparaging… i just quit.

i can’t seem to get my weight off. now i’m going to try what you said… do some weight training.

how many minutes of cardio would you recommend and how many days a week?

    6. Drop30lbsin30days says:

Popcorn doesn’t have sugar. Yet another false claim from your silly channel.

    14. airplaneking says:

Also, moron, your body uses carbs for quick energy (i.e. cardio) and not muscle. Go learn.

    15. christiandior1947 says:

This all makes PERFECT sense!!!! So much of this applies to me…WOW!!!

    16. buuuugs says:

don’t know what to think anymore, a lot of people are saying that cardio is a good way of losing fat so i started doing it along with weight lifting and now i find out that cardio is not that good for muscle. I’m not that fat, i was but i quit fast foods and junk food and lost like 20 kilos or so in a year, but i still have some belly fat that i want to lose, what should i do?More cardio or weight lifting?

    17. trikstadude3 says:

      @airplaneking Lol , you’re an idiot.

It’s all about the energy systems – CP (Short time, high intensity , 1-10 seconds)
      Lactic Acid system, then Cardiovascular

    18. polloloco908 says:

      lookin’ PLUMP.

    19. aznmav2 says:

@airplaneking you are the idiot, its called gluconeogenesis. no more carb, no quick energy. energy must come from fat and protein. even the most fit athletes only have about 1500-2000 calories in carb stores. muscle also uses fat as well. look it up on pubmed. read the research. don’t call others morons when you don’t know what you’re talking about, moron =).

    20. xxbigpimpin6969 says:

hi, i had a question for you. What is your fat carb protein ration? Do you think it would be bad for me to have a ratio of 30 percent carb 20 percent fat and 50 percent protein? Thanks

    21. Vladimir551 says:

Watch again! He is not talking against carbs. He is against processed “empty” carbs, he is supporting quality carbs you can get from whole foods.

    22. The1DrShade says:

The man is right in most of the things he said, I’m not naturally lean…. I never do cardio & I’m 6/% body fat simply because I eat quality food in the right amounts & I train with weights… I do 6 months during the winter of bulking up & then cut during the spring & summer, it’s all about resistance training & meal plan control… I can say all this because I I know, I have a good body (sceptical just look at my profile pic on here)…. Happy working out people. peace

    23. doctorapril says:

Thank you, reduced my calories then had to take 1-2 naps a day. Kick that out and doing what you said.

i wrestle for school, i weigh 170 now and wrestleing season is comeing up, this is the most i have ever weighed before and i need to lose weight. i go to the gym and lift, cardio only works for soem leg work outs in my oppion. i have did some reserch and lean beef is better then turky, drinking iced water burns callories because ur body feels the cold, increases ur temp, and burns calories. also you can only loose weight if u r exerciseing, not just dieting helps. DONT CUT CALLORIES

THANKS for your support, Laura! I appreciate the plug for my blog and I really do try to help people with weight problems get a grip on this “growing” epidemic. It goes without saying, but weighing over 400 pounds really sucked! :-~

You won't brag on yourself too much at your blog, I'm sure, but I gladly will. You were always the smartest kid in school so I value your opinion more than I could ever tell you. Who'd a thunk it nearly 20 years later the great blogosphere would give us an avenue for connecting up again? :D

Anywho, THANKS again for the plug and maybe you can come up with some healthy low-carb recipes to post from time to time. Mashed cauliflower is as good as mashed potatoes if you doctor 'em up with butter, bacon bits, sour cream, cheese…all the GOOD stuff! And the carbs are a lot less, of course. Plus, in light of your recent blog about your experience with making mashed potatoes, they're NOT watery. Hee hee!

Take care, my friend! I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the Bolivar Central class of '89 in a few years at our 20-year (YIKES, we're getting old!) high school reunion. SEE YA!
