The amount of different protein bars available for women is outrageous. They are dozens of bars that all state they can help you recover faster from your workout, help burn more body fat and get you toned faster.

All lies… in fact 90% or more of protein bars are nothing more than expensive candy bars with added protein. In terms of working together with a fat burning workout to help you see your body change isn’t going to happen if you don’t know what to look for. You could end up gaining more body fat and being really disappointed in your results if you rely regularly on these bars.
Protein shakes are much safer if you’re looking for a healthy and beneficial post workout protein snack, and they can be just as quick and easy as grabbing for a bar. Companies like Muscle Milk and EAS make great on the go single serving shakes that are just as easy to grab as a protein bar, but if you’re loving the idea of eating a protein bar there are ways to still stay healthy and enjoy the food too.
Reading nutrition labels and knowing what to look for is really important. It is going to take patience and taste tests to find a bar that is healthy and satisfying. In fact, there are only two bars that I regularly buy.
Is there a ton of sugar in the bar? Look at the sugar grams, and the sugar alcohols. Both are names you want to stay away from, sugar alcohols are the sugar substitute but your body doesn’t know that and reacts exactly the same.
The next thing to make sure of is that they have enough protein. . Research shows that giving your body a good dose of quickly digested protein after a tough workout will give you better results. . It’s important the kind of protein, make sure your bar has whey protein, and over 10 grams of protein (over 20 grams is best). Whey protein is quickly absorbed by the body unlike casein protein.
Look over the calorie count. Lots of the big muscle protein bars are loaded with more calories then you find in meals. Since this is a women’s weight training post workout snack, let’s keep the calorie count to under 300 for bars.
And the last requirement, are the ingredients. Trying to eat clean means trying to find a bar that is loaded with fancy chemicals and preservatives. Can you read the list? if you can and it makes sense then you’re on a good path.
My favorite healthy protein bars include the Power Crunch Wafer, Larabars, Atkins Advantage and Kashi. Kashi and Lara being the most clean and healthiest options but the Power Crunch has the best carb content and protein levels.

Hello. Many people are interested in this answer so I will give you the truth once and for all.
The truth is ye extreme weight loss can give stretch marks. But, if you are only planning on losing 25 pounds I consider this extreme.
Extreme would be anything over 50-75 pounds and even then the stretch marks would be minimal. Extreme weight loss more is for people looking to losing over 100 pounds in most situations and often times you will see many of these people with stretch marks.
The most thing is a new healthier body!
