@mandarambotong These products are at the opposite ends of the continuum. Gold Standard is light on carbs but has 75% or so of protein content. Serious Mass is heavy, no make that very heavy on carbs and light on protein. Gold Standard for lean muscle growth, Serious Mass to bulk up.
@mandarambotong Body like Brad Pitt, join the queue. Yes, he’s ripped. Lot’s of training, boxing, numchus, martial arts. I would go for a mix of Gold Standard in the mornings, then medium carbs like CytoSport Monster Milk in the afternoon. Check BodySuppsUSA (add the dot com)

Hey first off i would like to say that you have a very good video for people out there that are trying to gain weight and bulk up. I actually have one question, which is that right now im 17 yrs old and i weigh 164lbs and want to start to take serious mass, but later on in the future when i get my desired weight should i lay off this stuff and switch to whey protein or should i continue to take serious mass?
@tattirules Thanks for the feedback. I try and steer people to products lower in carbs and calories because I believe Serious Mass is to be consumed for short periods of intense bulking up. Try Optimum Pro-Complex, CytoSport Muscle Milk or Monster Milk which are medium carb products and better for you.

Hey guys when your looking for protein always go for an isolate but 78% is actually very low try to find proteins with a higher amount.. 90 – 95 is what you should be looking for

i was going to say after ym workout what protein do i take? im not trying to gain anyfat, maybe lose a lil bit, but i dont wana fat weight on only muscle weight on, so what protein should i take after my workout? isolate or concentrate or mix with both? please help me thanks, oh and i lift heavy weights about 10 reps, and trying to build lots of muscle as possilble..
@bodysuppsvideos: To elaborate on your comment-the product recommendations you gave are insightful, BUT I would not recommend any Muscle Milk products, as they contain high amounts of metals and other toxins. Unfortunately, this is not advertised on their products. While they might taste fairly well, I for one, would not indulge in any product that contains an obscene amount of foreign chemicals; metals included. There are other far superior low-carb products out there. Just have to research.
@mnoy91 Unfortunately, if you want to add muscle, you have to go through a bulking up phase, and then a cutting phase. About 15 minutes prior to your workout, you need a good creatine product and a hydro whey as hydrolyzed whey protein is faster absorbing than a concentrate. Before, during, and after your workout, you should be sipping on a good carb. and BCAA liquid. Immediately following your last set, take another serving of creatine, and hydro-whey…cont. on next post…
@mnoy91 …cont…For about 1 hour following your workout, your body is in an anabolic state, and your muscles are starving for nutrients. During this critical window is when you need to resupply them with a fast-acting protein; i.e. hydrolyzed whey. It should also contain a fair amount of simple sugars (fruit juice) to rapidly shuttle protein to your muscles. You can drink protein all day long, but without a carrier to deliver the nutrients, it’s just sitting in your stomach not being utilized.
@mnoy91 At nighttime before bed, I take a ZMA to help me recover faster and get better sleep, as well as a serving of the casein protein, which breaks down into it’s various amino’s at a much slower rate. While you’re resting, your body still requires protein, and slower acting casein’s are ideal for this. In the morning, immediately drink about 24 oz. of water, and take a good multi-vitamin. You’ll add 10-12 lbs. of muscle in no time…that is, if you are also eating right!

PLEASE ANSWER: I found this powder to be PERFECT until I ran into the “Soy Lecithin Problem” I heard it contains this, and it can be bad for you with estrogen like effects(?) Is this true? I’m mostly interested in the Pro Complex Gainer. I’m 27 years old, and at 6’1 150 lbs. I was wondering if I should gain weight before starting to work out again? Or should I just get this product and work out while I’m trying to gain weight? What would you recommend?
