    Seriously cool idea !

Genius! I wonder if there is a way to decrease the friction to make it a bit harder and take longer for the straps to wear out. Falling on your face when it frays would suck.

  3. tapthrow says:

Great idea, looks a bit like the AOS rope training drills. Less friction than a rope though, so much harder.

I did something similar with my rings earlier this year, but it was more like a TRX setup than a pulley. This goes one step further.

I have used rings quite a bit in the past. This is a great addition to what I have already done and I can’t wait to give this a shot.

    Keep up the amazing work

Maybe thread the strap through a wide pulley before attaching the 2nd ring, then suspend the pulley overhead? I like the look of this setup.

If you cut a piece of PVC down the length on one side so you can slip it over the bar, you can put the strap on top of that so it spins and creates less friction and prevents your strap from fraying. To keep the PVC closed, either tape it closed with duck tape for more permanent use, or use a velcro strap on each side to wrap it tightly. Love this use of the rings.

how about attaching both tied together rings at the resistance of cable machine. by this youre able to use them standing and horizontally loaded.

Double each strap through each ring and each other, fits in a backpack and appears like….stirrups. Throw over tree branch, monkey bars at park, through kettlebell handle for drags, over the overhead on a swing set, makes for truly great work. Rucking those and a dball for dball contact juggling is my preference when the weather is good at the park.

  16. donworland says:

Feet to wall, repeat rowing/pull and then smoothly stop and do a suspended triangle like wrap around one, then the other, slowly back to wall and repeat! I can’t do the row on the tree branch or it will get shit in my eyes! the smooth triangle is a scott sonnon one from some 4×7 drill of his!
