    July 31, 2010 ~ thanks for the clip. Has the ol’ “three sets of ten reps” been outmoded? I’ve been perusing sports/training youtube clips and nine times out of ten the host recommends 10 to 12 reps before moving on to the next routine/exercise. Thx! Eric.

    No. To gain muscle you need to lift heavy and eat high protein meals. When you lift weight, ripping your muscle fibers, which is why sore 1-2 days after a workout. Protein is utilized to repair your muscles and they will get bigger. Be careful, injuries are very easy to come by when lifting weights. Before look up the proper mechanics of each exercise so you know doing it properly. Over time, as you gain more muscle, your body will require more calories… if hungry, EAT! but eat

    You have to be consistent… not easy and it can take many months before you to see progress. Good luck.
