INCREASE YOUR VERTICAL with 1 EXPLOSIVE BODYWEIGHT leg exercise!

athleanx.com One of the most effective ways to increase your vertical jump is to use bodyweight exercises since that is what you are ultimately going to have to power off the ground during game action. When it comes to sorting through all the lower body bodyweight exercises out there, the important thing is to choose ones that are explosive. For that, I went to the “vertical jump king” Jack Cascio and challenged him to come up with a killer lower body exercise that used nothing more than bodyweight. The results are explosive….especially the single leg variation of this. It’s possible to increase your vertical jump if you’re combining elements of strength and power into your exercises. You can’t have one without the other. Like everything else in AthLEAN-X, athleticism is a key part of delivering the unique results that the program delivers. You can copy the same exact system that elite professional athletes from all 4 major sports are doing to get ripped, lean, muscular and athletic bodies. Get the AthLEAN-X training system at http

    Your vids are awesome! Can you invest in HD camera (try Canon 550D) and mirophones (make sure camera has an ‘in’ jack for mic). Your vids would increase in quality by 100%!
    Keep up the awesome vids!

    Hey, Jeff!
    I just have 1 question. I am going to buy your program, and I was wondering if I could somehow do your program and my 3-times a week muay thai training… I dont want to quit muay thai, but on the other side I really want an Athletic body :)

  18. JDCav24 says:

    @NovakGoran Yes definitely. In fact, there are no scripted workouts on the weekends in the AthLEAN-X System and depending on the level of activity in your muay thai training they may easily slot into the conditioning workouts on Tuesday and Thursday as a workable substitution.

    @JDCav24 That’s what I wanted to hear ;) … Thanks

    Haha I hear ya. One thing that irks me about some of the programs is the failure to specify just how long they are supposed to last.

    I'm looking forward to wrapping up Fat Burn- I'm switching over to Get Even Bigger HFT Whole Body in HIAH- it's just 5 weeks and it'll be perfect before summer gets here. Then considering the increase your vertical jump workout for VBall season.

  27. Chip Swain says:

    This was a very helpful post; I quickly ran out and got a pair of high heels to enhance my leg workout. The truth is I've always wanted a pair to add about 3.5 inches to my otherwise vertically challenged stature but wanting to be a little taller alway seemed vain. As I walk down the street now I don't have to feel so self conscious about these really sweet stiletoes because I'm merely working my quads….I'm feeling the burn baby, I'm feeling the burn!

    Without getting too technical
    "tone" is not a physiological term… just a word people use when they want to say muscle'. very often used with women. Most women want to muscle' because they are afraid of getting too big so they say "tone"

    Any kind of resistance training (weights, body weight, dumbbells, barbells, bands, etc) produce a training stimulus. The body will respond to this stimulus by getting stronger and building muscle, how much strength or muscle varies HUGELY depending on individual circumstances.
