I’m a 33 year old mother of 2 (2 yrs and 3 months old), wife of an ultra-marathoner, and by trade I am a pianist/recording artist. I am trying to lose the pregnancy weight plus some extra to reach my ultimate goal of an 80 pound loss (will be a 97 lb loss if you include the weight I lost right after delivery). I am blogging my weekly updates until I reach my goal. I hope that video blogging my journey will help keep me accountable, and will provide me with a great way to go back and see my progress. My sole purpose for this vlog is for use on my own personal blog, but if others stumble upon it then that is great – I hope I inspire you and vice versa.

My weight loss journey introduction – [...]
Really enjoyed you video informative. When you have time come visit my channel!
Very well said! I totally agree that losing weight to become healthier is best and likely more sustainable. Losing weight for someone else might mean gaining it back if that someone else were gone. I am fortunate enough to have married a man that loved me when I was fat and now that I've lost weight to become healthier, he reaps those rewards as well.

What’s your post pregnancy weight loss secret? | Pregnancy and …
When you do athletic activity, you DO loose weight AND you do loose mass.
You are breathing in oxygen and burning sugar and replacing every oxygen molecule with both a molecule of carbon dioxide and a molecule of water vapor. The extra mass came from the sugar-like fuel of some which you metabolized and would otherwise be fat tissue if you done sufficient activity. A carbon dioxide molecule is 37.5% more massive than an oxygen molecule, and the CO2 + H2O pair of molecules will be 93.75% larger than the oxygen molecule which was taken in (about twice as massive).
So you can see that your respiration process is why you loose weight. Think of just how much air mass your lungs handle during athletic activity, what of that is oxygen, and you can find out exactly how much mass you are loosing by multiplying by 30 amu for every oxygen molecule you metabolize.
A typical lung capacity is about 5 liters. Suppose during athletic activity, you breath one complete breathing cycle every second. Thus, you intake 5 liters of air each second and also output the corresponding exhaust.
Dry Air is about 21% oxygen by volume (moist air may contain slightly less). The rest is nitrogen and other minor non-breathable gasses. 5 Liters of dry air at a typical condition of 1 bar pressure and 300 Kelvin temperature amounts to 0.2 moles of oxygen available for metabolize.
The mole is defined as the the macroscopic dozen" of molecules, such that 1 mole has a mass of M grams if one molecule has a mass of M amu.
Thus, 0.2 moles of Oxygen per second means 6 grams per second of mass loss via breathing.
The time it takes to loose one kilogram of body mass under these conditions would be about 2 minutes and 46 seconds.
And there are other factors as well. We considered sweating yet or evaporation off your nasal mucus or saliva, all of which are mass loss via the substance of water. Also, when it comes time to use the bathroom a few hours later, it can mean a greater demand of mass rejection, since your body during athletic activity develops solid and/or aqueous waste products more rapidly than it does during relaxing.

what if your lungs work properly..like you have sinus and respiratory problems as well.
Your lungs will always be working somewhat, otherwise be dead. And if your lungs are functioning so poorly, you be yourself athletically, and perhaps you rather should have medical assistance with breathing. Being physically active definitely demands more from your respiratory system than a relaxed state.
The numbers I gave are just sample numbers to give a reasonable idea. A person necessarily breathe exactly once per second during physical activity, and your lungs necessarily drawing in 5 Liters of air each second. Also, sugar our only source of energy, protein and fat also burn, and perhaps have slightly different stoichometry ratios. Sugar is just the simplest edible fuel from a chemistry perspective.

if u sweat more do u lose more weight?
Yes. ANY material exiting your body is a loss of mass, and thus a loss of weight. Sweat is a material.
Bariatric surgery options give you a relatively safe way to embark on your weight loss journey. If you suffer from obesity or super-obesity and you are afraid that you may not have very long left without enacting serious changes, then you may wish to consider one of these options.
