The elastic band exercise how many times /how often should I be doing that per day?

  4. PositiveMotionChiro says:

Always consult your doctor. That said a general rule would be 1-2x/day as long as it wasn’t causing you any pain.

Hi, I’m just wondering. I’m into bodybuilding and I’ve had Golfer’s Elbow since Dec. It’s feeling a bit better since I’ve laid off the weights, but I can’t stay off them any longer. Is it a very bad idea to keep weightlifting? What techniques can I utilize to keep weightlifting while I heal? Thanks!

Thanks for driving home the point to stop activities or exercise causing pain or I am being taking farther away from healing. I am living proof. This condition has lingered for three years. Whle being able to continue some exercise, I have been limited by the elbow condition from making the progress I would like. Thus, I will try to follow this advice and get rid of the pain once in for all that inhibits my activity.

Great vid! I felt something pop and am following your regime. When will I know I can resume my activity? Also, will the exercises if followed cure the problem?

  12. PositiveMotionChiro says:

    Hi,

It is always important to get a doctor to assess your medical condition prior to beginning any exercise program. A doctor will be able to monitor your progress and let you know when you can resume activity and whether these specific exercises will be able to help you.

Best of luck with your rehabilitation.

    Hi,

It is important to work with a doctor to properly assess what is causing your pain and then set up a program that will get you back to lifting weights. They will be able to let you know after they take a history and do an exam what would be best to decrease and heal your painful tissues. A “golfer’s elbow” strap maybe an option they would recommend. Then making sure not to do actives that increase your pain – working you way up in intensity of exercise slowly.

Best of luck in your healing.

  14. PositiveMotionChiro says:

When someone has golfer’s or tennis elbow and they are doing an activity that causes pain they are damaging tissues and making it harder for those tissues to heal. So if weight lifting is causing you pain at your elbow it is important for you to see a doctor and get assessment and treatment so that you can be pain-free again. A “tennis” elbow strap like the “Band-It” brace can help you get back to activities sooner than later by decreasing the load on the tendons that are inflamed.

Hi Dr Brant , I feel a little pain in my inner elbow it is no too bad, becasue i can do all my activities without pain, even I can flex my wrist in all directions without pain, but when workout I can feel it , do I have golfers ewlbow? should I take a week of the gym?

  16. PositiveMotionChiro says:

It is impossible for me to diagnose anyone without an exam and history and you should always seek the in-person advice of a medical professional. That said, pain at your inner elbow when the muscles there are under stress, as with working out, can be “Golfer’s elbow.” If that is what is causing your pain, and I would recommend consulting a doctor, then taking some time away from the gym and following the recommendations of the video could be helpful. I hope that is helpful.
