Free Flow Mobility for Athletes – Improve Strength and Improve Muscle Building Workouts

Complete Muscle Building System www.acceleratedmusculardevelopment.com Original Post www.dieselcrew.com Mike and Eric for their important work with Magnificent Mobility. Mobility was an essential part of the AMD structure and it all started with them opening my eyes to how important mobility is. Definition of Mobility (my informal definition, yes you can quote me) – ability to freely move through the intended motion for the task or exercise without restriction and have strength and stability throughout this range of motion. What is the difference between mobility and flexibility? Flexibility implies range of motion. But it does not imply strength in this extended range of motion. Flexibility can be enhanced with static stretching. But mobility exercises not only improve range of motion of a joint, but also activates the engaged musculature during the movement. A win-win. I’d be embarrassed to try this in a gym. Looks like something I will try at home though.

I started messing around like this in 2000 or so at 24 Hour Fitness as a trainer. I would wreck bodybuilders with the ball. At the time it was still thought of as a relaxation device. Spheres are fascinating training devices. Globetrottering heavy spheres is fun and while on an inflatable sphere is a blast. You all rock!

  9. pharoahblaque says:

This is something you would do AFTER foam rolling correct? I love this and im going to try it 1st thing in the morning before going to work and before my training for sure! KEEP THEM COMING

  10. smittydiesel says:

We’ve done it before and after brother. Just do it whenever you can and you’ll start feeling a lot better.

  11. pharoahblaque says:

thanks a million for your input and sharing all your methods with us. you’ve saved my body for years to come for sure with your vids

  12. smittydiesel says:

Dude, thank you so much for the kind words. Please check out the deadlift video in my youtube.

Also, I am putting up an essential hip mobility video in the next day or so, please check that out.

  13. pharoahblaque says:

actually I saw your deadlift vid the night you had it up for only a few hours and took it down. i left comments and everything. I’m a member of AMD and I’ve bought a few of your ebooks so im totally down with the crew LOL. Your the man…don’t tell Zach I said that LOL

  14. smittydiesel says:

I appreciate all that support bro. Don’t worry Zach’s my boy.

  15. pharoahblaque says:

i know it’s real late where you are and i don’t want to seem like a bother but i have one last question? do you ever hold workshops and if so when is the next one and if NOT…..what gives LOL. I wouldn’t mind flying out there for a weekend and soaking up 411. i went to zachs underground cert last year…AWESOME

  16. smittydiesel says:

Definitely bro, more seminars in 2010. We usually just speak at NSCA events but we are creating our own certification in 2010, so we’ll have the opportunity to meet more strength coaches and fitness professionals who want to learn more.

  17. pharoahblaque says:

well that ‘s very promising to hear. i’ll start saving up money now then. The best thing is that most of your information is easy to understand and you can apply it like right away. I got your KB ebook and i had been training with kb for a few years…totally changed everything for me and i never even dreamed of most of those movements

  18. nastyQ13 says:

Hey, I’m really impressed! good stuff! I’m working on getting my PT cert. thru ACE so I’m still learning. Do you have any seminars coming to Chicago? Or how can I learn more about this type of training?
