@sweetkisses4uonly too long hours of workouts can force your body to create cartisol which is a hormone that destroys muscle mass for energy and can make your hopes of fat loss just a hopes thats why you should never work more than 1.5hours a day(for most people at least). so my answer to your question is, don’t work more that 1.5hours a day. your goal is to make every single minute of you’re work out intensive, I would really recommend his weight loss book.

hey .. i have some questions . im 19 im 6 foot and 175 pounds
i wanna build muscle mass but i also wanna get abs too..
should i run? someone told me if u run to much it takes away muscle mass.. and what i been doing is every muscle n one day… take the next day off. should i do that? or abs, arms, legs, back/chest, on alternating days

@iloveyouallatbbw You can still do running without reducing muscle mass, but to do this you will need to measure your heart rate carefully, and staying at your heart target rate zone.
Heart target rate zone can be measured like this:
220 – age = #
# X 0.85 = -> Max heart rate zone which you will not go over
# X 0.65 = -> Min heart rate zone which you will need to go over to burn fat
Don’t cross the Max heart rate zone and you will be all good!

When I use to fret over calories and how much I was taking in, I used the “Lose It!” app. It has a ton of products with caloric info. It also gives you a section to where you can manually enter in a food you are eating if it doesn't have it. It also takes into account your workout routine.
