The 2 man sauna is great. I just love the way I feel after. It just soaks my aches and pains away while I watch TV. The full glass window is great, not like other brands I’ve seen, where you feel enclosed with a wooden door.

You still have a reader in France too! I thought RW had pulled the plug on you but hoped there would be a message if that was the case – so pleased it's not though as I love your blog! I'm hoping you can keep it going for as long as… to get back to running and reach your goals. I just had 3 weeks off with a knee ligament thingie. I don't run as much or anywhere near as fast as you do but I'm a lot older too. Like you I fit it in around work and Life and wouldn't be without it. You have given me some good ideas for cross-training and I love yoga already – need more time though! Good luck with the weight loss – burn more calories than you eat is the answer :o )

Actually burning fat and cardio is the same thing. Cardiovascular exercise is referred to as aerobic exercise, like swimming, jogging, or riding a bike for 30 minutes at a time or more. This type of exercise with increase your cardiovascular fitness and burn fat calories at the same time. This type of exercise isnt very demanding on the body and uses oxygen for energy.

Another type of exercise is anaerobic exercise. While this wont make you cardiovascular fit, it will help increase your endurance and tolerance to latic acid build up. Anaerobic exercise is an intense exercise you do for 30 seconds at time that uses energy straight from the muscle. Anaerobic exercise will help you recover fast, increase muscle mass, muscle strength, and improve your cardio-respiratory system but cardiovascular is better with aerobic exercise. Types of this exercise is sprint forward for 10 feet, side step for 10 feet, side step back, back pedal 10 feet, then repeat for 30 second. Pushup for 30 sec, jumping pop cans – set 3 in a row a foot and half and jump them standing sideways for 30sec, many other things you can do. Weight lifting is considered anaerobic, if you do quick reps you will build endurance, and slowly doing reps will build muscle. If you do light weights with many reps – like 100 it is more aerobic exercise, but 10 rep lifts remember wont burn much fat because it will be an intense workout and will burn sugar in the muscle for energy. But building muscle will help with burning fat in the future by increasing metabolism, so win-win.

I would recommend you do 2 days of aerobic exercise for 30min to an hour and 5 days of anaerobic exercise. Anaerobic exercise is much harder and will take some getting use too.
