I have been following Dr. Fuhrman’s Nutritarian eating plan for almost 2 years now. I am 50 years old, am at my high school weight and truly enjoy this eating lifestyle. I can not imagine not eating this way.

Dr. Fuhrman is really on to something. I work out seven days a week and I thought I ate well, however, I always had high triglycerides. After following Dr. Fuhrman’s plan, I saw a drop of 400 points! Without medication! I truly wish my parents who both had quadruple bypass surgery knew about Dr. Fuhrman’s diet style, it could have saved both of them from their surgeries.

you both rock…i’m so happy to hear about your awesome results!!

  15. jrncrosby says:

Dr Fuhrman is the Real Deal. It’s almost hard to believe what he says, but one can achieve much better health via nutrition than taking pills.

My only problem is that he takes credit for the equation H=N/C. That equation was originated by a man who lives in Australia.

  16. jrncrosby says:

    Dear Ms Queen,

Way to go! You are one of the few who have the courage to change your previous ways. Just think, if you could creat a pill for what happenned to you, you’d be a multi billionaire.

I gave Dr Fuhrman’s book to my sister who in her 50′s has had heart surgery and has many other health problems. She gave the book back to me unread. I said “How come you didn’t read it?” She replied that she took the book to her heart doctor and he said that Dr Fuhrman was a quack.

  17. ThatAboutDoesIt says:

Ive read the eat to live book…he doesn’t take credit for that equation…just quotes it a lot…and who cares!

  18. xoxcuddlecorexox says:

My boyfriend got me into Eat to Live…I’ve read the book in it’s entirety and am looking to read more of Dr. Fuhrman’s book. After I have been on this awhile I would love to make a video to promote it…and I am really hoping that ETL helps me with my fruit allergy (I am allergic to many raw fruits). Thank you so much Dr. Fuhrman, you are saving lives and making a real difference!

I loved your reaction to your weigh in’s. It made me cry, it was simply inspiring! The best of luck to you guys.

  20. orangecandy29 says:

I love the lady’s reaction to her weight loss. Simply amazing!

  21. downbntout says:

It made me cry too – but more importantly, it made me lose 25 pounds and I’m still going, I’ll probably finish up at 30 pounds and be at that 3/4″ periumbilical fat standard that he recommends. Good luck! My strategy includes using my blender – I figure that if I like it, I’ll drink it, and if I don’t like it, I’ll drink it faster! That and I’m still using some splenda, but tapering it off as I become brave enough to cook again. Much success to you! This is the way out of heart disease!

  22. downbntout says:

I just sat sobbing when I saw this, especially the reversal of cardio disease. Now it’s been from May 5, my vegan birthday, to November 27, and I’ve lost 25 pounds. I am not at all wealthy, not sure where January rent will come from, and I’m so thankful I’ll be able to $tay off the operating table. I had already had multiple times of having to stop the walking and lie down on someone’s lawn with chest pain. Now I’m painfree!. Dr. F is the doc who will tell the whole truth!

  23. deana209 says:

Actually, Dr. Fuhrman did originate the equation H=N/C – he published a book in 1998 called Discover the Health Equation, which was the precursor to Eat to Live.

  24. talusan909 says:

Dr. Furhman is telling the truth. Before I came to this country I used to eat like what he’s preaching about. I was slim, healthy, and filled with energy. After awhile, I started to gain weight and got fatter because I changed my way of eating. Eating junk foods, etc… Years later, I turned around and went back to eating like I used to eat (Eat to live, Eat for Health). Back to eating plenty of green vegestable, fruits, ..
Eat natural and get natural results!

  25. MissVeganite says:

@downbntout Good for you, I hope you are healthier…:)

Keep your kids safe and healthy by injecting them with deadly toxins…Makes perfect sense in this upside down and inside out world. Lets also keep our teeth safe and healthy by putting toxic sodium fluoride in our drinking/bathing water and in our toothpaste and on our food in the form of herbicides. People dont even know where the sodium fluoride comes from. Fluorine gas is used in the aluminum refinement process, one toxic byproduct is sodium fluoride, it is bagged/sold and put in your water

Arthritis Res Ther. 2011 Jun 16; 13(3): R89 Lee HM, Sugino H, Aoki C, Shimaoka Y, Suzuki R, Ochi K, Ochi T, Nishimoto N ABSTRACT: INTRODUCTION: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by chronic synovitis that progresses to destruction of cartilage and bone. Bone marrow (BM) cells have been shown to contribute to this pathogenesis. In this study, we compared differentially expressed molecules in BM cells from RA and osteoarthritis (OA) patients and analyzed abnormal regulatory networks to identify the role of BM cells in RA. METHODS: Gene expression profiles (GEPs) in BM-derived mononuclear cells from 9 RA and 10 OA patients were obtained by DNA microarray. Up- and down-regulated genes were identified by comparing the GEPs from the two patient groups. Bioinformatics was performed by Expression Analysis Systemic Explorer (EASE) 2.0 based on gene ontology, followed by network pathway analysis with Ingenuity Pathways Analysis (IPA) 7.5. RESULTS: The BM…

As Josh MItteldorf notes in his book manuscript with the working title: The Kiss of Death–Why nature has arranged for us to die, and what we can do about it:

“…all of the technologies for extending life span increase health span as well.”

For this reason it is imperative that support for longevity research continues. In concert, however, must be effort to meet the challenge of overpopulation, to which success with longevity will make critical.

    Hi Claire,
I'm certainly no expert…but I would suggest that when you eat your fruit that you add some nuts to it–walnuts, pecans, etc. I'm also wondering if you're eating any leafy greens? Like kale, swiss chard, bok choy…? They are really nutrient dense. Also Dr. Fuhrman suggests including steamed veggies as well as raw in your daily diet. It takes awhile to adjust to eating this way–sometimes I feel like I'm still adjusting. Be patient with yourself.
Dr. Fuhrman would probably say that the stomach rumbling is a symptom of your “toxic hunger” or your body recovering from the typical diet. I had tummy rumbling too but found it best to ignore it. If you absolutely must eat try munching on some raw veggies / some fresh fruit. Better to snack on something healthy then eat junk.
If you reread sections of Eat to Live / Eat for Health it might clarify things for you. Also if you're really interested in eating this way I would recommend joining the Dr. Fuhrman member forum! I love it! It costs $100 approx for the year BUT you get to chat with members all over the world for advice and suggestions (ones who've been eating this way for years), and you can ask Dr. F. medical questions / even questions about how you're eating and —he'll answer you for free!!!!He responded to my questions twice this weekend alone. It's awesome.
Anyways I hope that helped. Don't be a stranger.

ST wave elevation is a sign of myocardial infarction or ATTACK. at your age though its is uncommon unless you have a family histiory of coagulation disorders like hypercoaguability of blood. If your T wave is tall it can be hyperkalemia or increased potassium. if its flat it can be emphysema, pericardial effusion, myocarditis or even psychological anxiety states. did u have some tension while doing the EKG? why did u do it in first place. did u have symptoms like chest pain, palpitations, sweating, heaviness or tightness in the chest? the disorers mentioned in latter are treatable so dont worry. Also are you a regular smoker? that increases the risk of MI. so QUIT SMOKING and save your life. All the best for your appt tomorrow with the doc.
