Coconut oil really takes away your appetite! I like to use it for that reason.

Oil have a precise meaning. They fats, triglycerides or vegetable oil. They are lipids though.
"Lipids may be broadly defined as hydrophobic or amphiphilic small molecules; the amphiphilic nature of some lipids allows them to form structures such as vesicles, liposomes, or membranes in an aqueous environment. "
Essential oils are usually just organic chemicals. Tea oil looks like it is mostly hydrophobic but probably somewhat polar or amphiphilic. It probably depends which oxidation state it is in. They show the solubility but it is clearly a lipid by that definition.

Peppermint oil has similar compounds in it.
