I have to disagree with 1 thing for sure in this video. Protein makes you feel full? Not in my case. When I was on ATKINS, I was hungrier more often than I was off the Atkins diet. It is an effective diet though, but not safe to live a life of. It is bad for your bones if you do it too long.
Atkins himself died at 258 pounds. This diet is a SCAM

there is really no need to do an atkins diet, have you ever thought of eating organic meals? i have dropped so much weight by just eating whole foods (whole grains, gluten free, organic eggs, no meats and if i do eat meats its grass fed cows and free range chickens) its much healthier and you end up dropping weight quicker than this, and you don’t even need to count calories! and its only beneficial towards your body and mind.
Come on people. A ton of DIS-information!
Stop believing everything you hear especially from DOCTORS who know NOTHING about nutrition for the most part.

1. He says: Physicians and Health experts are weary of the Atkins diet…….because of the restriction of carbohydrates.
CARBOHYDRATES are NOT needed to sustain life. You could go your whole life without one carb and you WOULD NOT die!
However, fat AND protein are essential.

There is not one shred of GOOD science that is reliable that shows a correlation between eating foods high in fat and getting high cholesterol and heart disease!

In order for fat (tryglycerides and fatty acids, to be “pushed” into a fat cell for storage it needs a transport agent. That agent is INSULIN. Without this hormone…
…..fat CANNOT be PUSHED into the cell. Do you know what releases insulin? Right, carbohydrates! Without carbs there is no insulin release so no fat storage from carbs. So your body looks elsewhere for fuel. That’s right FAT is used for fuel and energy.
Remember you have been programed since birth to believe fat is bad for us. Sure, if eaten together with carbs it certainly is. But without it (carbs) fat is used differently by the body.
By the way, cholesterol goes down eating low carbs
