    I agree. The best gift that anyone can give themselves is to start changing. The best thing I have ever done is to start dieting in February 2009. I have been taking the gradual route and by this time next year I will be at my goal!!

    This is a great video! 5 stars!!!!! It takes time to reach our goals. It took me 2 years to get to where I am now…a loss of almost 35 lbs. I’ve gone from a size 14 to a 6. I am also thankful to God because without Him I wouldn’t be here today.

    @jdobias …absolutely!! We give ourselves that gift and it gives to others. When we lose weight, others benefit as well…partners, mates, friends and family.

    luisa! i totally agree we can do this ! by starting my weightloss challenge i have more energy and i feel better then i have ever felt it is a struggle most times but like you said screw the excuses because at the end of the day we have to do for ourselves :D GREAt video!

    I am enjoying every aspect of the program. Some classes run long and that causes me to become irritated (mean) if I have to leave before finishing. I do miss the banter on the blog but I have also not been on here as much as I once was. As I eat my squash, lean ground turkey and collards all I can think of this would be alot better with wine or gin or vodka oohh maybe rum. I am off the sauce till February the 12th. Watch me shrink and become even more mean. If I seem odd, distracted or just plain crazy it is because my body is in shock. Please remind me to smile! If my left eye starts twitching move away from me as quick as possible. If both eyes are twitching, RUN! See you all soon!

    Yay for staying positive! You're right, slow and steady wins the race. On Youtube there are Healthy watch me shrink videos and one woman had AMAZING progress through exercise and healthy eating. She has dark skin, but I can't remember what her username was. Amazing though, watching those might help you remember that slow and steady really does pay off :)

    Hahahaha, yes, I think Adam does like me. But i just want to be friends. There are two Adams though, so that makes it look like they comment a lot, but I know what you mean. Ugggh. Why is it never simple?!!
