many sports use swimming as a form of cross training. and this helps athletes develop their fitness without doing miles and miles of running.

ok so i know that you start to run off fat stores after 10 min of cardio. would it be more effective for me to go at a slower pace foor the first 10 min and then bring up the intensity for the rest of the run?

I am finding that incline walking on a treadmill is the best for me…My heart rate, (60 years old) is about 132 and it stays that way for 20 minutes. THe incline keeps me from getting beat up by walking so fast I hate it, and I raise the incline as the time goes by. Is t my speed at 3.0. It’s low impact, and lots of sweat. I get my second wind around 16 minutes….I could go longer, but I weight train also, and I have only so much time.

ive been killing myself in the gym 2 hours a day, 5 days a week for about 5 months and I still have this damn belly fat. im trying out something new where you fast for 24 hours twice a week and ill go to the gym starving.

@CiniCraft same with me. i’ve had a pot belly for 9yrs so i’ve been jogging on the treadmill for 30 mins a day, 5 days a week, for 4 months now and i’ve lost inches everywhere on my body BUT my belly. it just sticks there no matter what
